Jack Galloway is a London UK based cognitive behavioural therapist, life coach, clinical nutritionist and personal trainer.

With 9 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, Jack has worked with clients ranging from competitive athletes, people with chronic illness, those who want to improve their overall wellbeing, people with debilitating mental health struggles, those who just need a bit of assistance getting their life together, and everything in between.

Jack offers therapy sessions and ongoing life coaching from his practice in South-West London, as well as via Skype and Zoom.

Jack first entered the health industry as personal trainer in 2010, and has since worked with hundreds of clients in various capacities including as a trainer, clinical nutritionist, life coach, CBT practitioner, and alongside doctors in a clinical setting. Jack has a great deal of clinical experience under his belt as a nutritional therapist in Harley Street and has undergone training in CBT and mental health awareness.
Jack's undergrad degree was at the University of Manchester, and has since studied with the Institute for Functional Medicine and the University of Westminster, amongst many other CPD courses. 

Jack's Approach

Jack's counselling practice and approach to life coaching is characterised by a Jungian psychoanalytical approach, with a modern 21st century understanding of the world.


Fundamental to the need of the modern day individual is the path of. self-realisation and self-actualisation. That is, the need to understand oneself truly, and to fulfil one's own potential through self-awareness and creating balance between the different 'areas of life'.

A Word From Jack

"I despise the term 'life coach' because of how cliche the phrase has become in the modern era, and how it's become almost exclusively occupied by self-professed instagram experts who have little to no training.

However, with my skill-set and experience across multiple domains within health and wellness, it has become evident to me that to gain the best results in any area of health (whether it be psychological or physical), an integrative approach is needed.


This is why even when clients of mine are simply interested in working with me as a cognitive behavioural therapist, I often suggest a more holistic life-coaching approach whereby we look at everything (such as relationships, self-confidence, your nutrition, lifestyle, work-life, family, sleep quality etc) in order to address the areas of your life you want to improve."

Functional Therapy

The term Functional Therapy is something Jack coined, central to his philosophy which marries the practice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the principles of Functional Medicine.

At the heart of Functional Medicine is the notion that nothing in human health or human illness exists in isolation, nor happens by accident.


When we experience physical or psychological problems, it is a by-product of 'fault by design'.


That is, your anxiety, depression, lack of energy, or whatever else might plague you is not an accidental occurrence - but rather a combination of your genetics, your environment and your life circumstances causing a snowball effect.


In essence, your body is doing exactly what it's instructed to from a functional perspective.


Rather than cause for despair, this is actually a good thing because the knowledge that your health complaints and psychological manifestations are not random, but actually exist for good reason, enables us to work out what has happened along the way, and address the issues accordingly.

It's therefore the job of the astute practitioner to isolate the root causes of the problems that the client is facing, and help them manage and navigate a journey of self-improvement.

More of a focus in health needs to be placed on achieving health and psychological wellness from a root cause and bottom-up approach, rather than treating the symptoms by sticking a band-aid on the wound.
